Study-Trinity-Presbyterian-Church-Charlotte-NC

From September’s Rally Day through late May’s annual Church picnic, the hour before worship is abuzz with learning, discussion, and fellowship by people of all ages! We invite you to read more about our typical Adult Sunday School and Youth Sunday School offerings and to check them out in person any time during the fall and spring. Also, be sure to check the Home Page for special announcements about the Sunday School hour.

For the 2016/2017 Sunday School year, Trinity offered the following Adult Sunday School classes:

 Class Name  Room  Class Information
“Parlor Class”  Church Parlor, in Cloister

The Parlor Class will be studying the history of the Old Testament in the context of the archeology relationship to the biblical writings of the Old Testament.  We will be using 3 books

  1. The Bible Unearthed; Archaeology’s New Vision of Ancient Israel and the Origin of Its Ancient Texts
  2. David and Solomon
  3. The Forgotten Kingdom; The Archaeology and History of Northern Israel

The first two are by Israel Finkelstein and Neil Asher Silberman. The last is by Finkelstein alone.

John Parker will be teaching this class.

“Bible 101 – Genesis to Revelation  Room 113, Education/Administration Building

We will embark on a journey that will strengthen your understanding and appreciation of the Bible by enabling you to engage the Scripture on three levels:

What does the Bible say?

What does this passage mean?

How does the scripture relate to my life?

Wendy Smolen and Reynolds Wheeler will be teaching this class.

All year long, Trinity also offers opportunities during the week to both members and nonmembers for study and fellowship, including the following:
