“Serve Families. Love Kids. Fight Cancer.” That’s the mission of Claire’s Army, a local non-profit that strives to act as God’s hands and feet for families with a child who has been diagnosed with cancer. Named for Claire Ratliff, a beautiful and inspiring little girl taken from this earth at the age of two years and four months, Claire’s Army supports families by eliminating daily stresses and responsibilities so parents can spend precious moments with their children; providing outlets for siblings; and, most importantly, helping maintain some sense of normalcy during such trying times. You can learn more about Claire’s Army by watching the video below or by visiting their website.

On Saturday, February 24, 2018, we hope you’ll come out to Trinity to attend a pancake breakfast to benefit Claire’s Army. George Brooks of BROOKSCAKES will be there with the great food, and there will be balloon animals, face painting, and other great activities for the kids. The law firm Poyner Spruill LLP is helping sponsor the event as part of its continued service to Claire’s Army.

This year, we are also partnering with the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas to host a blood drive. The Community Blood Center is the primary blood supplier to our region’s hospitals and patients, and one of the biggest needs for such blood comes from pediatric cancer patients. During her courageous fight, Claire needed multiple blood and platelet transfusions, which were supplied by Community Blood Center.

The breakfast runs that morning from 8:30 – 11:30. Details about ticket prices are coming soon.

We hope to see you on February 24!
