Urban Ministry Center

To learn more about Urban Ministry Center, check out their website (www.urbanministrycenter.org). Trinity supports Urban Ministry Center through several different ministries:

Room In the Inn

From December through March, Trinity joins together with churches across the Charlotte area to provide a safe, warm place for neighbors to sleep. Trinity hosts 12 neighbors on 12 Wednesday nights throughout the year. Each week we need 23 volunteers to help serve dinner, drive neighbors to Trinity from the Urban Ministry Center and back, provide breakfast and lunch and serve as Overnight hosts. This wonderful ministry allows each neighbor a safe place to lay their head and 3 homemade meals. Please help us serve and grow closer with your neighbors by using this link to sign up:

Drink Groups

Drink Groups go to Urban Ministry Center (945 College St – uptown) to serve drinks to our neighbors during their lunch program (where they serve lunch to anyone who needs a free lunch every day of the year). Drink groups offer hospitality and help to make sure that along with everyone’s lunch they receive a drink. Once a month Trinity participates in this ministry. Lunch Groups

Lunch Servers go to Urban Ministry Center (945 College St.- uptown) to serve lunch to our neighbors (anyone who needs a free lunch every day of the year). Lunch servers help prepare the lunch, plate the lunch, and then pass out to guests. The time frame is 9:45am-12:30pm on the 4th Friday of each month. Visit this link to sign up:

Sandwich Making

Once a quarter, we support the lunch ministry at Urban Ministry Center by making sandwiches to be served at their lunch. We make these sandwiches on site at Trinity and bring them to Urban Ministry Center. We need a few volunteers to buy groceries, a few volunteers to help make sandwiches, and a volunteer to bring the sandwiches to Urban Ministry Center.
