Dr. Lewis Galloway

Dr. Lewis Galloway is a graduate of Davidson College and Union Presbyterian Seminary (D.Min; Th.M.).  He is married to Dr. Eleanor (Bunny) Alexander who is also a Union graduate, a PCUSA pastor and a Pastoral Counselor.  They are the parents of three grown children and have two grandchildren. After serving 14 years as the Senior Pastor of Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, they retired to Black Mountain.  While he was at Second Indianapolis, he served as the Program Director of the Lake Fellow Residency Program in Parish Ministry and the Chair of the Interfaith Hunger Initiative. Prior to moving to Indianapolis, Lewis served churches in eastern North Carolina, Norfolk, Virginia and Columbia, South Carolina.  When he served as Pastor of the Shandon Presbyterian Church in Columbia, he was active in racial reconciliation ministries, social justice issues and homeless concerns. He was the President of the South Carolina Council of Churches, the Cooperative Ministry and the Chair of the Mayor’s Task Force on Homelessness.  He has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Union Presbyterian Seminary, Davidson College, and Montreat Conference Center. He is currently on the Board of Agnes Scott College.

Costs:
Accommodations at the beautiful Assembly Inn, overlooking Lake Susan. All costs include taxes.
Single Room with private bath – $112.35 per night (King or Queen or two Twin beds)
Connecting rooms with shared bath – $ 192.60 per night (Queen and two Twin beds)
Connecting rooms with private bath in each room – $224.70 per night (King and two Twin beds)

Non-refundable Conference fees:
$35.00 per person before July 1
$45.00 per person after July 1

Meals:
All meals (for children ages 0-high school) from Friday dinner to Sunday breakfast are complimentary and covered for 2024 by the Thomson Fund*. Adult meal cost per person is $71.69

Thomson Fund* Discounts:
Any first time family will receive $100 off their room rate.
Any first time single adult will receive $50 off their room rate.

Activities:
Adult Sessions with speakers on Friday night and Saturday morning
Infant and Toddler Care (6 mos. – 4 years) provided on Friday night and Saturday morning
K-5th grade sessions on Friday night and Saturday morning
Youth (6th – 12th grade) on Friday night to plan and lead vespers and Saturday morning mission work
Saturday Night Square Dance with the Stoney Creek Boys – check them out HERE!
Saturday afternoon activities:
Hiking Lookout Mountain; brewery tour; games; shopping and sightseeing in Montreat or Black Mountain or Asheville; paddle boats; canoeing and fishing on Lake Susan; play time in Montreat playground; naps and watching football or baseball games in first floor lobby
And, as always, plenty of time for socializing with your Trinity family!
