On entering the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother
and they knelt down in homage.
Then, opening their treasure-chests, they offered him gifts:
gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Matthew 2:11

Scripture tells us that the Wise Men brought their very best to baby Jesus “in homage.” The word for “homage” combines two ideas central to the Christian faith – worship and gratitude. These Wise Men brought their gifts to Jesus, not out of a sense of obligation or duty, but out of worship and gratitude in celebrating the birth of the Messiah.

This December, you are once again invited to consider making a “gratitude gift” to the work of God’s church. While some choose to give an additional month of their 2018 pledge, any amount is welcome. Your Gratitude Gift will not only help our church finish the year in strong financial shape, but enable you to further express your gratitude for Trinity’s expanding vision and for God’s greatest gift to the world – Jesus Christ.

All gratitude gifts need to be received in the church office by December 31, 2018 in order to be counted on this fiscal year. Please direct any questions to Cheryl Jernigan, Financial Administrator.
