We are pleased to begin outdoor worship on Sunday, June 21.  We’ll continue this through the summer and hopefully move back into the sanctuary at some point.  It will be good to see each other again!

Thank you in advance for observing these guidelines as we worship God and assure the safety of all.

We will meet outdoors in front of the Fellowship Hall – All data suggests this is much safer right now than meeting in our sanctuary. We hope to transition inside at some point, but we’ll begin worshipping outside. We are blessed to have the perfect outdoor space for this!

Worship will be at 10 a.m. – This is less about Trinity’s historical switch to an earlier time in the summer and more about “beating the heat” for an outdoor service by starting a little earlier.

Bring your own lawn chairs/blankets – In addition, we’ll position some of the picnic tables so families can sit at them. Bringing your own bug spray may also be a good idea.

Social distancing & wearing masks – The Worship Ministry Team will mark spots where people can sit that are six feet apart. We will also ask worshippers to wear masks. If you don’t have one, we’ll be happy to provide one for you (thanks, Reta Phifer!)

Casual attire and atmosphere – It’s summertime and we’re outside, so dress comfortably.  Shorts are great! Young kids? Feel free to bring a blanket with toys for them to play with

Bathroom plan – We’ll designate one set of bathrooms for use. We’ll also tap an individual to serve as a “bathroom monitor” to keep track when someone is in the bathroom and ask others to wait until they return. Both bathrooms will receive a “deep clean” by our janitorial service the following day.

Sound system – We’ll use a portable sound system to project sound so all can hear.

Parking for those who want to remain in cars – We’ll have some designated parking spots for those who prefer to sit in their cars, roll down their windows, and listen to the service from a distance.

Continue Zoom/YouTube Live – Because our online services have reached some in our congregation who were not able to worship even before the pandemic, we are committed to continuing this as we re-gather. We are purchasing some equipment to broadcast our outdoor worship services live through Zoom and YouTube Live. Incidentally, we’ll use the same equipment to also broadcast our sanctuary services when we return there.

Continue emailing Order of Worship on Saturday – We invite people to bring them on Sunday on their phones/tablets or print their own copies (we will provide a limited number of paper copies as well). This will also allow us to easily switch to virtual-only should rainy/stormy weather on Sunday morning keep us from meeting in person.

We’ll see you at outdoor worship!
