MARCH 5: ASH WEDNESDAY
Ashes to Go: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Outside of the Welcome Center
MARCH 9: GILCHRIST SUNDAY
Gilchrist Sundays are an annual event at Trinity. On these Sundays, we welcome some of the leading theologians and ministers of our day who challenge us to approach our faith in new ways. Gilchrist Sunday begins at 9:45 a.m., in the Parlor, with an insightful and uplifting discussion on mental well-being and the power of caring for one another. Rev. Anna Dickson, Executive Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, NC; and Cathy Hasty, Director of Novant’s faith-based wellness programs, will lead the conversation, offering valuable perspectives on support and connection. At 11:00 a.m., Anna will join us in morning worship and speak on the topic, Mental Health and Faith. A reception will follow in the Parlor. (Click HERE for more information).
MARCH 2, 16, 23, APRIL 6 AND 13: LENTEN SUNDAY SCHOOL SERIES ON SACRED SELF CARE
Beginning on Sunday, March 2, the Adult Sunday School Class will begin a study of Sacred Self-Care, taking us on a transformative journey of self-discovery and spiritual nourishment. In this seven-week exploration, we will dive into the wisdom of the book, Sacred Self-Care: Daily Practices of Nurturing Our Whole Selves, Chanequa Walker-Barnes, discovering practical and soulful ways to integrate self-care practices into the Lenten season. If you’re able, join us each Sunday morning for gatherings to provide a supportive community where participants can share insights, reflections, and personal experiences. Even if you’re unable to join, please feel free to join us in spirit and read along as a spiritual devotion during this Holy Season. Join us in this meaningful exploration and let the pages of Sacred Self-Care guide you toward a more intentional wellness journey throughout and beyond Lent. What you’ll need to do:
- Get a copy of the book, Sacred Self-Care: Daily Practices for Nurturing Our Whole Selves. We will have 10 available for free.
- Read each day’s devotion.
