Mission

Trinity members believe in relational mission through service in three core areas: education, homelessness and hunger. It’s our way to become positive agents of change in our community. In light of the coronavirus outbreak, some of our mission partners are asking for specific help as traditional volunteer opportunities have been suspended. We have provided those links below. We are also focused on specific, intentional prayers for our mission partners during this time.

Trinity Presbyterian is partnering with Sardis Presbyterian Church to go to Kentucky for an adult mission trip in the spring of 2024. Click HERE to learn more!

Education

Our partnership with Nations Ford Elementary School is more than a decade strong! It grew out of an effort to support teachers, students and their families. Trinity volunteers provide classroom aides, tutoring, field trip chaperones, and teacher appreciation treats. We also sponsor the NFES Book-a-palooza twice a year through Read Charlotte.

We are proud of the teachers and scholars at NFES as they continue to make great gains!

Homelessness

TPC partners with Roof Above through Room in the Inn by hosting a safe, warm place for our homeless neighbors to sleep. Volunteers also serve lunch monthly and provide sandwiches.

We also partner with Supportive Housing Communities through McCreesh Place, which helps people transition to stable housing.

During the pandemic, our partners also appreciate vital online donations:

Hunger

Trinity Presbyterian’s Friendship Garden provides fresh produce for Friendship Trays, which delivers hundreds of meals across the Charlotte area weekly.

Trinity has donated tons of produce over the years. Some of our members also deliver meals for Friendship Trays and support their Wish List.

Trinity also has a Little Free Pantry along Providence Road stocked with non-perishable items.
